Paranoia—Rules Of The Game Elimination:
o Direct Elimination Strategy: Must touch your target with an approved Paranoia weapon. Get these weapons at the High School Gathering on Sunday’s, or at the CMA office during the week.
o Indirect Elimination Strategy:
• BOMB: players may bomb their target with a provided ‘Paranoia Bomb” (a sticker) Players earn the right to bomb their targets by killing at least two victims, & by requesting & receiving an official bomb from Ryan the game Moderator. Bombs must include the assassins name & be in a visible location.
• POISON: players may poison their targets food / drink with a provided “paranoia poison.” Players earn the right to poison their targets by killing at least 5 victims, and by requesting & receiving official poison from Ryan the game moderator.
o Elimination Procedure: An eliminated player must forfeit the target info card to your eliminator to keep the game going, and report the elimination to game moderator Ryan (see info below). Once eliminated, you are out & ‘dead.’ This means you cannot breathe a word, or warn the person whose card you had when you were still alive.
o Stalling: Any player who fails to make a move within 10 days will be given a 3 day warning. If no eliminations take place within that 3 days, you will be eliminated by the Paranoia Moderator.
o Witnesses: Targets may not be eliminated in the presence of witnesses or the elimination will not count, and the eliminator’s identity will be revealed. A witness consists of anyone who knows about the Paranoia game, & knows that eliminations can’t happen in the presence of witnesses.
o Alliances: Players may form alliances of up to four (4) other players to collaborate their efforts in tracking and eliminating their targets. Players in an alliance agree not to say anything if they see someone eliminated by a member of your alliance.
o Defense: The universal signal of defense is with the hand/fist over the heart. A person is safe from all elimination strategies if the hand/fist is over the heart.
o Updates: Every Sunday we’ll have a ‘casualty’ update @ The High School Gathering. We’ll also show you what the official weapons, bombs & poison look like.
Safe Zones:
o Targets may not be eliminated in any classroom at school, in a bathroom, during the high school gathering (10:50a.m. until whenever it’s over), while target is in their own home (unless you’re invited in), or if your target is ‘working’ at their place of employment.
Fair Play:
o Paranoia will be a great experience if players play fairly, and honestly. We’re giving you the benefit of the doubt to play this way. If there are rules broken, or unfair eliminiations, you may bring that to the moderator for discussion & decision.
Paranoia Moderator: Contact Game Moderator Ryan Wright to settle disputes or get questions answered, or to report eliminations. E-mail Ryan at ryanw@paradisecma.org myspace.com/vintageministries 877.7069 ext. 291 To find official Paranoia rules online go to www.paradisecma.org/vintage
