Our Mission

The Awakening exists to awaken young adult Christians who have fallen asleep in their faith and to awaken the lost souls of our generation to love Christ.

Sunday Night

Our big Sunday night worship service, The Awakening, incorporates multiple core values into a dynamic evening service. We meet at 7pm in the FLC. At the Awakening….
• we worship God
• we pray for God to move in our generation
• we are challenged to respond to the call of God through the word of God
• we experience a loving, Christ-focused community
• we enjoy the fellowship of the saints
• we share our faith in God with our friends who don’t yet know Him
• we grow as servants in Paradise and the region
• we impact the world by supporting missionaries and sending missionaries

Small Groups

Our small groups enable us to go deeper in community and discipleship. To be successful we must not only learn to live as disciples of Christ, we must begin to be changed into a
holy people.

Pillars -- The Awakening Leadership Team

If we are to achieve our mission we must make leadership development one of our top priorities. Young adults who have a living relationship with Christ, who are committed to their faith, and who have the ability to keep their commitment to serve, have the opportunity to become Pillars in the Awakening. Pillars are called to build the ministry of Christ through service, prayer, and ministry to their peers.The Awakening Pastor will personally coach and mentor the Pillars, helping them to develop into the world-changing leaders God desires them to be.

Activities

Throughout the year we will participate in a variety of activities that help us fulfill different parts of our mission as an expression of our core values. Examples: service projects, mission trips, nights of prayer and worship, video game nights, our annual dodgeball to raise funds and awareness about the sex slave industry, sports nights, Game Night with the Seniors, etc. This year we want to build bridges of evangelism on the college campuses.
