Tim Bolin

Born on May 5, 1959 (in a hospital – I wanted to be next to my mom during a big event like this)
I asked Jesus Christ into my heart at age 5 (I literally thought He was swimming in there).
At age 17, I gave Jesus my life, will, and future.  I told Him that if He called me to do something – I would obey. 
In 1977 I graduated high school on June 14th, then on June 15th I started my construction career which lasted till 1989 when Jesus called (more details on this later).
In 1978 on June 17th, I married my high school sweetheart, Yvonne.  In 1980 we had our first child – a girl, Candice.  She is now married to her high school sweetheart.  Candice and her husband Matt have one son (my first grandchild) and have a girl on the way.    Then in 1982, we had our second child, Steven who is married to Hope who is a Doctor’s assistant.   Steve graduated from Moody Bible Institute and is currently a Youth Pastor in Rocklin, Ca.  Lastly, in 1985 we had our third child, Cliff who has graduated from Butte College Fire Academy and is married to Laurie who is a Nurse working at Enloe Hospital. 
Well, life was going good.  Yvonne and I were volunteering at Paradise Alliance Church, teaching and leading the Jr. High program at our church through the 80’s,  the family construction business grew to having around 120 employees.  Then, God called and decided to turn our world upside down.  His call came during a Mexico mission trip with our High School Ministry.  I remembered I had promised God years ago, if He called me to do anything I would obey.  So we sold our house, left our family business and moved to Minnesota to get my degree in Youth Ministry at Crown College. 
After college we moved to Burbank, CA to be the youth pastor at Village Church and to work at Village Christian School (1900 + students) as their chapel coordinator, a Bible teacher, Bible curriculum director, and Mission’s director.  Six great years of ministry. 
Then God called us to serve as youth pastor at SunHills Church in El Dorado Hills, Ca.  We were there for four really good years.   We then moved  back to Paradise Alliance Church.   We did a full circle – never would have guessed that one.
From 2002 until the current time,  I started off as the Pastor of High School Ministries, then transitioned into College/20 Something Ministries.  Then, after 19 years of youth ministry, God opened the door for me to move into Men’s and Mission’s Ministries here at Paradise Alliance Church.  I have done over 25 weddings in the past few years, seen people called to full time ministry, seen people find their fit in the body of Christ, and have taken groups all around the world serving the Lord on short term missions.  When you find your fit in the Kingdom of God, it just feels good. 
Now with Ministry for Men– we are seeing God lead men to Himself, families and do some amazing Kingdom things within the hearts of men.
